A Day Worth Recording

The names "Doris & Frank" mean a lot to older aficionados of modern board games.  As a pair, Doris Matthaus and Frank Nestel, had a tiny board game company in the 90's under the name "Doris & Frank".  The artwork for their games was very distinctive.

Doris was also responsible for the earlier artwork on the popular game Carcassonne.

I can post this now (25th Dec) that the resulting bespoke present has been opened.  I've been drawing up a couple of 'mini-expansions' for the game, painting the requisite art onto spare Carcassonne tiles that I have a bit of a stock of (from a different project).

This particular tile is the 'test' one to see how well watercolours take to the tile surface, and what I'll need to seal the resulting artwork with.  The standing stones are for one expansion, the mine is for the other.
