A Day Worth Recording

Halfan Abbey

Actually Pershore Abbey but history has not been kind to it and all that's left is the south transept and the choir - so the nave, the 'main bit', is completely missing, replaced only by a couple of stone props from 1913.

We're moseying around Pershore with M&C who had found that the nearest place to Bristol to get a booster before mid January, was Malvern.  We had already planned to go to a friend's art exhibition, so we did that together and pottered around Pershore on the way back, including the abbey - which is still quite a spectacular size inside.  It must have been huge.
