Swamped

Woke up early, to a very dull morning, which brightened up some. Helped clear some of the olive prunings from up the top, so we could get the car back here after abandoning it up there last night. It's horrid stuff to deal with, pokey bits in all directions, and mixed up with prickly asparagus. Hopefully, this is the end of the pruning for this year.

Offered for Vizinho to put his sheep on our Land, which he promptly did, together with his rafeiro sheep guardian and her two puppies. As he pointed out, anyone coming over the wall to pick our asparagus might get a nasty surprise. I've not wanted the sheep to eat all the flowers, but now we need them to eat the olive leaves, which will make dealing with the branches a lot easier.

Photo is Mike at end of the day, chainsawing the branches between here and the gate, good firewood for next winter.

Gratefuls:
- some time moving out in the open air
- drinking olive leaf infusion throughout the day, excellent for the immune system
- rainbows dancing all over the house in the afternoon sunshine, from Jan's crystals
