Stella

This is Stella, whose name means 'star' and she really is one of those. I was sent to interview her this morning for the Dunscore Digest. She lives in the middle of the village with her husband. They have no children but Stella loves being with her nephews and neices (and any other young people who happen to be around). She has been a diabetic for 50 years and is about to get a medal from her doctor in recognition for her careful management of her condition. Stella is one of the most cheerful people I know, happy to be alive. Every day she goes out for a walk and always takes a bag to pick up litter. And so much character in her lovely smiling face..
