January fuchsia

... this one's feeling the cold a bit now. Had fun with some editing, after recovering from yesterday's migraine.

I went up to our local library today, where I used to volunteer pre-Covid.  The fuchsia is among the various shrubs in front  of the entrance.

For now, it's just a click and collect service three times a week, and so fewer people are needed to help that to tick over. But my other, unofficial role in the library has been to build up a little archive of documentary photos. This was originally intended to contribute to a 'before and after' sequence, when we were applying for a Heritage Lottery Funding grant for major renovations. That has all fallen through for the moment. I've carried on taking pictures though, and there's a sample in the extras: a friendly woman in the queue, who didn't mind relaxing in front of the camera.  I've moved on from focusing on the building to focusing on people and activities... there's more to do, on that score, but much of it will have to wait until we can open properly again. That can't come soon enough!
