Pandolce

Apparently, this is known as Genoa cake because it's supposedly served by Genoese families every Christmas. I've read that there are traditions that suggest the cake is brought to the table by the youngest of the family and offered to the oldest who slices it. There is some order in who gets which slice. The version we have appears to be a recent variant on the recipe: being flat and crumbly. I've never had it before but it's delicious and - yes - I'm stretching Christmas a little longer.
