Morning eggs

A bit of a lazy morning bit a delicious black bean, egg and avocado brunch after my Saturday morning shop. I went shopping much later than I usually do and it was noticeable that the supermarket was less busy - but had a little less choice - than if I had gone on in the morning.

In the evening to the Charing Cross Theatre to see the comedy ‘Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike’. It tells a story of three middle-aged single siblings, two of whom live together, and takes place during a visit by the third, Masha, who supports them. This production has been hit by the COVID lockdowns for many months - having been planned for over 21 months. When it finally made the stage the run was cut short for a new set of COVID reasons but the cast seems - more or less - to have stayed together. This was one of only a handful of performances in recent weeks and it was primarily being staged so that they could film it. I think they have done a couple of nights because, towards the end of Act One, the person who answers their phone while the performers were on stage must have been picked up by the cameras. Hopefully, they have another recording for that part of the show.
