I am finding that being locked down is radically reducing the opportunities for blips.  Yes I know we are allowed out for exercise but there are a number of factors which need borne in mind.  First I am in a vulnerable group.   Then the guidance says exercise locally within your village, town or part of city.  Finally the new variant is at least 50% more infective this means that if restrictions would have got the old variant down to an R of 0.6 the new will be 0.9.   That R will take 20 to 25 times as long to get the infections down with the same restrictions.   We all need to stay home.

So blip is another blip of a bird this time a male Scoppie (using the dialect of my youth) Chaffinch to most people.
