Bridge to Thames Ditton Island

L3 Day 23.
Today was warmer so I cycled a circuit past deserted Hampton Court to Thames Ditton. There are three islands there opposite the 13C Ye Olde Swan Pub. Thames Ditton Island which is accessed via the 1930’s suspension bridge and has about 45 properties, Swan island which is tiny with just the white hut in the blip that used to be for the ferryman. and Boyle Farm Island, to the right, which has just one house. These are opposite Hampton Court Palace and apparently the island was formed when Henry VIII had the river widened and straightened to aid his journey by river to Westminster.
