Here we go again – Day 9

Today we have done nothing!!! Don't really know why we're telling you this today because we do nothing every day. Oh how Ann wishes she was one of these motivated people who have learnt a new language or developed a new skill during lock down. Instead she's just getting lazier and lazier. It's just as well she's got me because if she didn't, she might not even get out of bed some days. She certainly wouldn't be getting out of her PJs. Lol.

And hasn't it been cold today? I've had two shortish walks and a play in the park with my ball. Ann's just checked her 'fitbit' to see how far we've walked today and nothing has recorded because the battery has died. She usually gets a notification to tell her when it's getting low. Grrrrrr............  She only started wearing her fitbit again at the start of the month because her Bestie is doing the virtual 'John O'Groats to Lands End 2021 challenge' and she wanted us to join in. We walked almost 70 miles during the first week of January so to be honest that wouldn't be a challenge for us. We need a proper challenge that is actually challenging. And Ann needs something to do when she's not walking me, apart from watching TV & Netflix & drinking wine?!!! Dry January lasted until Nicola & Boris told us we were locked down again.

This is a BLIP of me in the park having a rest after I'd played with my ball for about 15 mins. Normally I lie down in the mud or in little pools of water. Today all my 'cool down places' were frozen so I just had to have a rest on the cold grass. I stayed very clean today.

…...............Now Ann's just about to watch the News and see what Nicola has to say today. Apparently there's a lot of 'tightening of the rules'...................... takeaways to operate from a 'hatch' and people to book a time slot for click & collect. But no mention of 'support bubbles' so here's hoping Ann can still see her friend, Susi, once a week. There doesn't seem to be any change to the 'meeting one person outdoors rule' either, though to be honest, we haven't got any friends that would want to go for a walk with us in this weather anyway.

We'd like to say, 'things can only get better'. Mmmmmmmm..................... every time Ann says that; things get a whole lot worse...............................
