George Square Gardens

I have realised that the only way to beat the crowds in the Meadows is to go off piste and travel the lesser known lanes and streets in the area where humanity is scarcer. My blip is of the rather lovely George Square Gardens taken from outside the deserted University Library. The Gardens which are generally open when the students are in residence, are shut at the moment since the University is closed to face to face teaching .... at least I think it is although there are many students in evidence whether they are meant to be or not.

Give the coffee shops their due, they were quick off their marks with hatches and windows in which to dispense drinks after the latest turn of the screw.
The result is that none of the coffee drinkers seem to have been discouraged from gathering in groups outside to collect their beverages and then chat and drink. I’m not quite sure this is what Nicola had in mind though.

The distaff side of the family had a zoom meeting last night. When I think things are tough for single people cut off from any semblance of life worth living, I remember my daughters with younger children trying to home school them while running a business at the same time, especially when the children are bored stupid with being at home and not seeing their friends. Everyone is so stressed with life at the moment.
