Early morning vandalism

Wasn't intending to do any gardening today, but needs must. Yes, the blackbirds are back in the 'yard after a short absence, and already they're wreaking havoc! Not content with the bird feed, this morning they were rooting for grubs or whatever, and while they were at it flung quite a few pansies on to the ground, and removed foliage from several more. Pansies replanted in the hope they survive, and 'yard generally tidied - it was good to get out for a while.
