Opening at last

48 hours of non stop rain has begun. It did not deter us from an hours walk; But anything to blip was thin on the ground.

So I was saved by going into the garden. The higher temperature has persuaded the Hellebore buds to begin to open. The white ones are always first. In some years they have begun to flower beore the end of December.

They are such good value and will be a joy for some months to come.
