TT - Lichen

There's been nothing but rain from morning to night, and still more is expected.  Flood warnings are in place in both West and South Yorkshire and it must be soul destroying for the people who are just waiting for the river to do its worst.  I went to the optician today to pick up my new glasses and I noticed a lot of equipment had been moved into their new showroom. As a precaution they'd brought it up from the basement area as last time the river flooded they'd had 26" of water and sludge to deal with.  After many years of campaigning for better flood defences at Mytholmroyd, they have recently been completed and the coming days will be a test as to how successful they are.
