R&R

I had to be in town today so took the opportunity to walk somewhere different from my usual routes. I walked along the Nith, crossing several bridges. This one is the Kirkpatrick MacMillan suspension bridge. It was built as a cycle/pedestrian bridge and named after local blacksmith Kirkpatrick Macmillan, who is credited with the invention of the first pedal bicycle. It is a favourite place, like many bridges, for people to leave padlocks, but not yet to the extent that the bridge is at risk..see HERE for rather more extreme examples!

It was another sunny (but chilly) day and so I've done another hour of gardening this afternoon.

Time to make the tea now :-) have a good weekend, everyone!
