Rodents rule

The City and the Juggernaught

It was crunchy enough to walk across the muddy grass in Norwood Park without slipping and sliding. I snapped a picture of the sculpture with the City in the distance. Folk have been trying to topple over the Juggernaut to Naught, I think, as the side near the toddler was covered in muddy footprints. It's stayed put.

On the way out of the park, I spied a fox curled up on a shed roof – bright orange against the snow.

The temperature climbed during the day and the ice has now melted from the pavements and the pond has lost its frozen top. The forecast has London in double figures tomorrow. Juno might spend more time outdoors if it's less wet. As it is, he's been monitoring the wildlife from the kitchen window (see extra).

The radio and news moved me to tears with accounts of some of the 100,000 plus lives lost. So sad.

A couple of friends in different NHS jobs have just received their vaccines. There is hope.
