Great Tit

I had a smashing walk with Hobbler friend Angela this morning.  We had planned to go over the hill to Haworth but, sadly, there didn't seem to be much point in going all the way down in to the valley and coming all the way back up (normally we would have had a cuppa in a cafe), and we did question if we were pushing the restrictions.  So Plan B was to head out that way but to avoid the valley bit and stay high, returning via the hamlet of Hainworth.  It was good to head out in a different direction and we briefly saw some brightness over the Aire Valley as we headed to Hainworth from Crossroads so the view was quite extensive.

Back home it was a lunch of Tony's yummy homemade sausage rolls and then I discovered there was a 30% Blurb offer in my inbox, so time to upload my 'Eleventh Year of Blips', that's that done.

Whilst the brief sunshine lasted, I went to see if there were any different birds in the tree.  Tony had seen the female blackcap and the pair of collared doves, but they had already flown.  The woodpecker hung out in the top of the tree for a short while but the nature of the window opening means I cannot catch him/her up there, so that will be for another day.   So today, it is the great tit.  We don't get flocks of these like the blue and coal tits, just the odd one or two and not throughout the day.
