Queuing

Yeah, we’ve had our Covid jabs/jags for which we are truly grateful, but not so for the queueing we had to endure on this cold and damp February morning to receive them – it took 1 ¾ hours of very slow shuffling in the Wellington (Telford) Football Club car park before we got to the cattle prodding queuing system into the foyer of the Telford Whitehouse Hotel where we were temperature tested and sanitised by a wonderfully comedic volunteer, registered, jabbed and out in a jiffy.  Seems like everyone had a 12 o’clock appointment and the volunteer told us it was due to the fact that the organising Pharmacy had targeted to do 1,000 jabs a week but today was the day when they were trying to roll out 1,000 jabs.

Most people were ‘stiff upper lipped’ and coped in true British style with all the queuing (including Mr HB and me, of course) and I do hate to complain but I do think the administration today went horribly awry and the man before us made himself very clear of that fact and was horrid to the very nice volunteer, which in my book is very out of order.

It’s taken us a while to warm up again after today’s ordeal, but we’re still grateful!
