Snow by John Banville

Wide Wednesday has the theme of Book Titles so I think that "Snow" by John Banville works nicely for this photo.  There are so many better snow photos on Blip right now from people around the world, so I am not going to pretend that this is an amazing snow shot, however, for us this is a lot of snow over the Coast Range. We drove over this morning, intending to go first to Tillamook where my husband was going to get a Covid vaccine, but there was a fatal accident on Hwy 6 that completely closed the road. We took a different route to the beach on Hwy 26 through Cannon Beach area; the snow and blue skies were absolutely beautiful. I tried to remember a book title to use for this photo and "Snow" was the perfect choice. I hope you like it Bob; thanks for hosting. We are at the beach now and we plan on staying a few days. We cannot see the sky over the ocean from our house so I am going to walk down to the beach soon to see if there is a sunset worth capturing. I have seen some spectacular sunsets posted on facebook lately by people at Rockaway Beach.

We are feeling gratitude that we left home about 1/2 hour later than planned to drive to the beach; we would have been very close to where the accident happened on Hwy 6 if we would have left on time. Perhaps we wouldn't have been involved in the crash but we would have surely been stuck right behind it for hours while the police investigated the fatal accident. We were warned by a highway electronic billboard to not take Hwy 6 because it was closed! Modern technology can be very helpful.
Be safe, get your Covid Vaccine when you can and may all of your technology encounters be positive!
