Moss World

It's rained nearly all day, and that's before the snow forecast for tomorrow and Monday with Storm Darcy...... and the high wind..........and the temperatures below freezing during the day for 4 days, I can't wait for Summer!  I had a nice chat with G this morning. A leaked document reveals plans to reform the NHS and have 'integrated care systems', less bureaucracy and less use of private companies, which on the face of it sounds very good.

Day 327 / Day 32 of Lockdown 3 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 828 to 112,092 (revised basis), with 18,262 new cases, 29,326 patients in hospital, 3,505 on ventilation and 2,460 new admissions. Patients in hospital are below 30k for the first time since 3/1, but this is still 35% higher than at the peak of the 1st wave. New daily cases in France and Spain are now higher than the UK. c11.5m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 0.5m their 2nd dose. Britain has administered first doses to 17% of our population, the US 11% and the EU 4% (we have an extended 12 wks between jabs, which will distort comparisons). The council in Worcestershire is to set up surge testing following the identification of the South African variant locally.  I listened to a programme yesterday evening where a fraud expert said that fraud on bounce back loans could run into billions of pounds and be the biggest fraud ever - unbelievable negligence by the banks and Govt! Small companies are to be given longer to pay back Covid loans.
