Oak Kn(owl)edge

Halfway up Devils Lane, the hollow oak is breeding more owls... A shrine to knowledge perhaps, although given the steepness of the hill one to athletes would be more appropriate, rather than to Athena. Every now and then another one gets popped in, and the bright yellow love-owl was too hard to ignore.

Wow, but it's a cold wind out there today! No snow, which is probably a good thing, but Devils Lane was coated in ice from the field-water run-off. The gardening team Janet is a part of have planted thousands of snowdops along about 50m of Charfield Hill, and they're looking lovely in the sunshine.

She might be looking pleased, or she may have frozen to the spot...
