Corydalis popovii

Growing wild in Russian central Asia, the Pamirs and Altai mountains, in screes and rocky places, this curious plant grows from a corky tuber which can be buried very deeply.   Named for a Russian botanist, Popov, it needs a warm, dry summer rest so it's likely to be staying in a pot here in Wales.   I have two plants both raised from seed many years ago.

A busy Monday.  Various admin tasks completed this morning plus a shopping trip with Jamie to the Co-op.   A long dog walk for Meg this afternoon before more decorating at work while Tim was in with Jamie.  Cold and breezy still but some sunshine too and as the sun moves round a little more with every passing day, we have sunlight through our house again :-)
