Too Cold

Even with a little sunshine this morning the crocus in the cold frame struggled to open.   In a few cases the effect was quite pleasing, as here with the two-tone effect  created by the cream outer petals on a form of Crocus tommasinianus which I have christened 'Claret & Cream.'

This morning we delivered a Raspberry and White Chocolate cake to the health centre,  posted and shopped before Jamie conjured up a delicious lunch, a home-made chicken burger.   A few chores this afternoon and a very chilly dog walk but at least it was still pretty bright, sunshine plus a few random snow flakes blowing in the wind.    Enjoying the brightness but looking forward to all the spring promises to bring :-)
