An amazing day!

A chilly morning, but glorious in the sun this afternoon. I went for a walk above the beach at Ganavan to have a look at the woods there - there's a worry about the proposed developments infringing on this beautiful wild area so much used by local people.

On the way back I sat in the sun at the War Memorial and took this picture of the Dunollie Lighthouse with Dunollie Castle in the background. It was surprisingly warm in the sun.

My extra today is of the 'Loch Striven' on its way back from Lismore, left in original size to show a tiny boat on a wide ocean!

Quote of the Day:

John Steinbeck - "What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness."
