The Blackcap

We've had a pair of blackcaps visiting for quite a few years now. They're warblers and normally summer visitors from Northern Europe but some stay all year. We often see ours in the summer months, often with youngsters in tow.

I saw this male on the feeder this morning and managed to get a few shots. If I'd had my wits about me, I'd have put this lens on the Z50 and take advantage of the extra magnification. As it is, this one is cropped quite hard. 

We've had very strong winds again and it seems to be coming from a slightly more southerly direction. It's still felt very cold outside.
