An Island Is Born

The drifting continued last night but today the white snow was replaced by a dirty layer with these gaps where you could see the white snow underneath - this is a rock in our rockery. Despite some thawing and the bulk of the drifts on the track being cleared by a tractor, there's still some  parts where the last thing you want to do is block the track by getting stuck. It could be late Monday or Tuesday before we can escape - supplies in our bunker are reaching amber levels, I am not going to eat crunchy nut cornflakes without milk!
