Frozen

The water in a large plastic plant pot just behind the garage was frozen solid.
I very carefully turned it on to its side and gently tipped it up to slip it out.
By the time I carried it and placed it on the patio table, my fingers were frozen themselves!
There is a definite upturn in the temperature this morning as I sniffed the air. It is damp and smells of greenness.
The blackbird has been for his sultanas, and the charm of 20 goldfinches are back again. This time in the Liquid Amber maple by the  summerhouse, sounding like an aviary as they were all preening and twittering.
More photos in extras.
