Thaw

Woke this morning to a green countryside. Had not realised nature had so many different shades of green.

One big surprise were these wild woodland flowers, English aconites to give them their proper name, revealed now the snow has gone from under our rhododendrons.

We have no idea how they got into the garden because they were not planted.

Still they are a most welcome splash of colour.

Hopefully we have seen the last of the snow this season.  The golf course is devoid of snow and there is a local fundraising campaign to pay for the damage done by the sledgers.
