Two for the price of one at the Library

Apart from the opportunity for snaffling a blip and having a walk our trip into town was largely a pointless exercise. We went to return books to the library and expected to collect a book.

An email said that a book Susan had requested was available for collection. So off we went. We didn’t read the rest of the email which said that we’d be contacted to arrange a date and time. Wouldn’t it have been better for the email to say “we will contact you to arrange a time and date as the book you requested is now ready for you to collect”?

We did have a takeaway coffee standing out of the rain in a draughty colonnade in Market Buildings fortifying ourselves with a shared piece of tiffin.

This afternoon Susan was ensconced in her studio continuing her latest painting while I worked a bit on my ukulele songbook and tried, unsuccessfully, to take the snowfield element from this photo and superimpose on it the mountains from this photo shot using Affinity Photo to create an image called the Kentish Dolomites!
