Five Rise

Great news the Five Rise cafe has reopened today for take aways.

A wet morning but this afternoon’s forecast wasn’t too bad so I met my friend in Bingley for a canal walk. Hard to believe but this is the first time we’ve met up since before Christmas. We seem to have been thwarted by bad Friday afternoon weather so we’ve FaceTimed instead.

A walk past the Five Rise locks to the picturesque canal side house by the road to East Morton and back, with a cup of tea from the cafe shown here. Some people were starting to sit at or hover around the tables outside but they were moved on. We sat on our plastic bags on the benches at the top of the locks. 

Not too busy probably because the weather didn’t look too good this morning. It was dull but dry and not too cold so a very nice way to catch up face to face.
