Roses from a friend

A grey day, slightly lighter grey and dry.

This morning another load of washing done, cleaned the recycling bins when they had been emptied, cleaned the car inside and out and made a shepherds pie for lunch.  Spoke to my friend who is still not feeling too good but pleased she's at home. Another friend came round with a lovely bunch of roses, glorious colour, as a thank you for lending her books and jigsaws during lockdown.

This afternoon S. came round and we walked to the beach, not as many people about as I thought and good to be out and chatting to another person instead of over the phone.  Extra shot taken at the beach looking at the River Thames with the tide coming in and a break in the clouds.
