An Oban breakfast . . . .

. . . . or should I say 'a Buckfast breakfast'! A wet day today, mild and calm to begin with, but with the wind getting up again later. We three went down to the Pier to buy the usual fish, but it began to rain and we came home a touch on the wet side.

Another difficult day for Blips, but I saw this bottle of Buckfast on the table outside the snack bar and thought that somebody has been at it early!

One of our 'Keep Oban Beautiful' members has been trying to get some people together to clean the road signs in town, many of which are simply filthy or damaged or rusty. It's nothing to do with COVID as some kind people are saying - it's always like it. A list is being prepared to present to the council, asking for some work to be done on them. Another annoying thing is the number of stickers which are plastered over road signs, lamp posts and litter bins - they're very hard to get off. Most of them are from various weird organisations, but the one I've put on as an extra is a new one to me! I think they may be in the wrong country!

Quote of the Day:

Avram Davidson – “Dylan Thomas, asked what he thought of Welsh Nationalism, replied in three words, two of which were 'Welsh Nationalism.' “
