Above And Beyond...

Llanellen Bridge

Day 333 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 75 days ago. UK in full lockdown.

A trip to pick up some click & collect items was diverted as Llanellen Bridge (Built AD 1821), nr Abergavenny, South Wales, was flooded by the River Usk that had burst its banks onto surrounding fields and the A4042 which was closed as a result. The blipfoto shows the bridge with pedestrians on this normally very busy road, taking in the flood from the heavy rains.

I got home just before 3pm to watch Cardiff City FC play Preston and win 4-0. A win next Wednesday against Bournemouth may overtake them and put Cardiff in the play-off positions. An extrodianary run since the new manager took over!
