Is it a bird? No, it's a flying Vizsla with enormous ears! More big ears in extras.

For the first time this year today actually felt like spring - it was sunny and mild and very pleasant to be outdoors. I tried to get some photos of Xena jumping over a log that lies across the path in the woods on our walk, but despite being a sunny day, that is in a very shady part of the woods so I have to increase my ISO's so much that then the image looks very grainy/noisy, and when I use software to reduce the noise it softens the sharpness. My camera does not deal with noise very well. Note to self - find another location for such photographs in good light!

The woods was full of families and friends out and about, certainly not much evidence of only walking with one other person when they obviously were not from the same household. People are fed up with lockdown, and as the infection rate in our area has come right down, people are being a bit more relaxed - exactly at the stage where they still need to be careful. Tomorrow the Prime Minister is announcing the plan for the steps out of lockdown which we are all looking forward to, it has been a very long third lockdown which has been in place since 5 January.

The vaccination program in the UK has been going so well - nearly 17 million people vaccinated so far. It is being done by age group and we are now up to over 65's - although I keep hearing about many under 65's who have already had the vaccine so I think some areas are ahead of their schedule.
