Yep...That is in Focus....

Kids these days are so in tune with the digital age, that if they show any interest in photography, it is only fair to start them off with the best gear you can afford. Throw them in the deep end and they cope amazingly well. Like Emily here, busy lining up her shot and then going for it. Sigh, just a pity it is Canon gear and not Nikon. Still beggars can't be choosers....
The above is tongue-in-cheek of course.
We came across a TV crew down on the Wellington Waterfront and were allowed to have a play with their gear.
We spent a good part of the day on the Waterfront. I took Emily to the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
She was intrigued with many of the objects in the current exhibition. Jewellery made of the plastic from red and orange car lights, flattened, beautifully decorated old paint cans and lots of other imaginative stuff. Her favourites were a teapot, cups and a starfish all made of cable ties. Amazing!
There was a bit of shopping on the agenda as well... Lego... Lego is the rage with kids at present in New Zealand.
I lost her for a bit in Unity Books, my favourite bookshop.
Emily is an avid reader. She was rewarded for good behaviour with a new book, "Just Doomed" by Andy Griffiths... that author is very popular with her peers.
Home on the bus. Tired and footsore. Now we wait for Margaret to return from a "Girl's Night..and Day Out " at the Martinborough Fair held over the hills in the Wairarapa.
Emily's Dad is away as well so I have been in charge. Good fun!
