Crocus

Lockdown 3.0 Day #49

A damp morning turned into a beautiful afternoon so after a visit to the garden centre, we spent the rest of the day in the garden chopping back and weeding. It's lovely to see that not all the bulbs I planted have rotted - there are a few that have survived and are now visibly poking through the soil. The ones in the pots outside the patio doors are a bit further on and these crocus got their first visitors today in the form of a bee and what looked like a hoverfly. (I was too slow with the camera to catch them).

Boris announced today the cautious plans for reopening the country and I cannot wait until we can drive around again and go to places further afield at the end of next month. That and after the middle of April, it looks like we will be able to look forward to a few staycations that we have booked in May, June and August. The one in March will obviously be cancelled, but we can wait :)
