Today should have been ...

... Silly Saturday!

Richard had recently seen a photo posted on a friend's Facebook page of an ice tree sculpture.  A local man has carried on the tradition of his family that dates back years and years of creating an ice tree sculpture in his front yard. When it's cold enough the tree can get to tremendous height.

This afternoon we went our looking for it ... we didn't know the exact address but that didn't stop us.  We only knew the approximate location so when we came across this ice tree sculpture we thought it was the one.  I was a little underwhelmed ... and for good reason.  We later found out that this is another one and not the large one we were seeking! Doh!

We may or may not go back to find the larger one ... stayed tuned.

When we got home I sat on the deck hoping for a squirrel but there weren't many out today.  While out there I was lucky enough to see a lovely House Finch couple and a Carolina Wren. The wren was on the deck railing while his/her mate was eating some seed that we have laid on the feeding tables.
