Anemas and Almonds

Decided to visit our friends, the Anemas, today. They've been having a tough time, and thought a loaf of Mike's bread, freshly baked, and a jar of my orange and ginger marmalade, plus seeing people, might at least be a distraction. Driving three hours there and back, to stand, distanced, apart, chatting for a bit, was it worth it?? Hope so.

Almond orchards are taking over the land between here and Évora; they say it's an American. This was a smaller, local one, between Lavre and Montemor.

Gratefuls:
- Manuel doing more on our lane while we were gone
- Mike driving us safely through quite a lot of rain
- my friend, Hélène, getting home from hospital OK
