Mist over Windermere

The fog was lifting by the time I reached the lake this morning.  The boat park was flooded after all the rain and the jetties under water .  The water in the foreground here is the boat park!  The lake was calmer than its been for weeks so I swam across the other side to look at Swan  (extra) . As the mist lifted,  the sun came out and blue sky appeared. The water was perfect if still touch chilly. The water had "warmed up" to 5°C

The Virtual Walk. A 750m swim got me to Sewingshields Crags where the wall and a milecastle sit on top of Whin Sill with wonderful views. Impressed you can view the actual wall on Google Street view, the photos must have been taken by a runner or cyclist.
