Dumbarton from the Castle Rock

Our first visit to Dumbarton Castle, enjoying views down the Clyde and up to Ben Lomond although it was rather overcast. 547 steps to climb at this Historic Scotland location.

The view across to the flats and bridge (early 19th century) over the River Leven won my entry for today. The tall red still tower on the right was built in the 1930's as part of a large whisky distillery complex.

I also liked this more zoomed in shot of the bridge, flats and reflections which is in my Blipfolio here. Which do you prefer, as I might swop the entries round?
