Eating Our Greens

I was surprised to see how advanced was the wild garlic on our walk by the River Almond on Friday, we picked a couple of small bags.

I made soup with one, managing to burn them while pre-cooking, as I'd expected it to be like spinach, with minimal water; then, separately, the lentils stuck to the pan while pre-boiling. After salvaging both and adding the stock and so on the result was quite palatable.

Tomorrow I'll try microwaving the garlic instead of 'steaming'.

I have added a photo of the sewing table to Tuesday's blip. Most of the imperfections are not easily visible, especially the woodworm!
