Blipper!

We knew that there are Blippers that are familiar with the Lost Garden of Penicuik but hadn't expected to see one!

Apparently a Firdell Blipper is a Passive Radar Reflector, a device carried by a small boat so that it can appear on the radar screen of larger boats. The remains of this were found on the upper terrace of the Garden, to which we squelched this morning after a delivery to Miss Flum..

We had a brief chat with a member of the Midlothian Ranger Service, who was burning wood before unofficial bonfires were lit and it seems the garden is to be closed as the wall has become unsafe, so this might be our last visit. Sad to see, perhaps it will return to oblivion.
