Lily The Pink

This pink lily is the star player in my surprise bouquet, though I hope to do all the flowers justice this week.

A lovely day today. I nipped out in the morning to visit The Mate. I helped with a shopping delivery then I set about taking down the dead foliage from a perennial sweet pea. The branches had provide some shelter and privacy to the garden but now needed to be removed to encourage the new growth from ground level.

I should have taken with me some bags, I could have taken this garden rubbish along with the other bags in my car to The B-I-L for his compost heap. In exchange for two bags of leaves I was given two packets of pasta, quite by chance, but a good swap.
