Under the Apple Tree

We did a very efficient circle of errands this afternoon, driving in a large counter-clockwise circle from here to there and there and there and one more there and back to here again. Add three loads of wash, hung and dried, some playing in the dirt, and my usual morning load of puzzles, and I think I'm done. The Gopher Whisperer trapped two more creatures overnight, bringing the season's total to three. I fear we have not seen the end of it yet. The vegetable beds are now all gopher proof, and we plant every new thing in a wire basket, but there is still a lot of damage that can be done. I've got to weed faster because it's really hard to spot the dirt mounds when the sourgrass is knee high.
