Oak Tree in March

I'm taking a photo of this tree once each month for a full year (I started in January). It's in Ickworth Park where we go walking regularly: but as it's National Trust and you have to book at least a day in advance you take a chance with the weather. Today was great - as you can see. It felt almost Spring-like. We were lucky: tomorrow rain and strong winds are forecasted.

It's a bit disappointing to see that it looks like the topmost branches are dying back.

The Extra photo is just a hundred yards further along the path: given the sunshine, I just couldn't resist this rural scene. It'll be even better in a few weeks' time when these sheep have had their lambs.
