Diana...

L3 Day 81. A walk in the Grove Gardens area of Teddington. In 1763 a mansion called The Grove was built by Sir William Chambers the architect of Somerset House and Kew Pagoda. In 1920 the estate was purchased by Shell, the house was demolished and many homes were built to let to Shell staff. In 1934 Shell sold the land which is now Grove a Gardens to the council, and the Teddington Bowling Cub moved here in 1935. The blip is a statue of Diana the Huntress which is a copy of a Roman statue in the Louvre.
