Sunshine Breaking Through

Iris vicaria* in a cold frame, welcome sunshine filtered through the eucalyptus on our boundary showing it off to good effect.

A cold blustery wind made the dog walking this afternoon 'fun' but we still had a blast.   Meg has unending energy when a ball is thrown so she got loads of exercise.  Jack, who came with us, sulks if there's another dog competing for the ball so even though he had four of his own, he spent a lot of time hiding them in the long grass and got a lot less exercise!

We worked on a form for Jamie to apply for social housing, there being an empty flat where Katie lives.   We enjoyed a tasty lunch cooked in Jamie's air fryer which arrived today.   Jamie and Katie went on a couple of outdoor adventures and I moved a tonne of topsoil that was delivered last year.  It was in the way of the raised bed which Jamie and Tim will soon construct, a pain to have to move it but good exercise I guess.   A shorter turn at work than of late and now winding down after a busy day.

* If anyone can tell me an easy way to tell Iris vicaria and Iris magnifica apart I'll be grateful.  This could actually be either species!
