Long Time Ago

This Primula marginata was the very first alpine plant I bought from a specialist nursery.   It was at an AGS show at Harlow, in March 1991 I think.   I've propagated it by cuttings more times than I can remember but left my oldest plant behind in Norfolk, in a very heavy trough.   It's been in the same spot now for 21 years and was about to start flowering when I was there at the start of the month.   It's a tough little beauty.

These are it's previous appearances here!

A grey, windy day, sometimes very wet.   Blowing harder tonight and serious storms are forecast.   We mostly stayed in.   I did four hours decorating at work and Jamie baked with Tim.

Big Thank yous to everyone who gave hearts and stars to the blip of hills and geese recently helping it hit the front page of the popular blips, a rare accolade :-)
