Start of the day.

Arrived at my office as the sun was rising. On the drive from Snells beach I  was treated to lovely colours in the sky, the moon appearing to be supported by its bright thin crescent, with Venus nearby. It was a pleasant journey.

From my office window I saw the rising sun hitting a University building on the far side of Grafton Gully. Moved out onto a balcony from the seminar room, and was able to take the photo I’ve blipped.

Late this evening, we had not long finished dinner and I was collecting used plates from the table on the deck when I saw a yacht on Kawau Bay. Its spinnaker (full of air but generating little speed) was glowing with light from the setting sun. Makes a good extra photo.
