SILLY SATURDAY - OOH ARR ME HEARTIES!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

As you all know, Mr. HCB went and had something done to his left eye on Thursday.  We heard him say to Mrs. HCB that when he is fully recovered he will be able to see her much better - we think he might be better wearing the “rose coloured glasses” but don’t tell her we said that!

However, we decided to come out in sympathy with him because you will never guess what a friend of theirs brought round yesterday - two packs of Wispa bars and a trifle for Mr. HCB and a bag of giant Bourneville buttons for Mrs. HCB, so it looks as if it’s worth getting your eyes seen to.

You can see that we are all wearing our eye patches and we have been practising saying “Shiver me timbers!” and “Ooh arrr me hearties” just like Long John Silver.  We have been researching all about pirates and we know what a Jolly Tar is and also a Jolly Roger, although Snowy thought that this meant someone who had had too much rum!

We thought that it was rather rude to call someone “a lily-livered landlubber” so when we heard Penny Penguin shouting that out, we told her she was a “scallywag” and we would make her “walk the plank” if we heard her say it again, so that soon shut her up.

Now we are waiting to see if Mr. & Mrs. HCB’s friend brings round any more booty - if she does, we will share it around - and we think that chocolate would go well with a glass of rum - so we could all shout out, “Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum” which would sound rather good and we think would make dear Admirer laugh.

The “eagle-eyed” among you will notice that there are only 7 Wispa bars - Mr. HCB ate one yesterday, which leaves one for each of us and three for him - Mrs. HCB’s gift of the giant buttons has already been started - but she is a chocoholic, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t snaffle one of Mr. HCB’s Wispa bars!

Mr. HCB is doing very well and is being looked after by Mrs. HCB - it’s a very windy day today, so I don’t think they will be going out because he still needs to be careful, but he says to thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes.  If you wish to send chocolate, we can let you know their address!

Love to you all,

JH Ted, Penny Penguin, Snowy, and Tiny xxxx

P.S.  From Mrs. HCB - I emailed Snowy, a Blip friend last Friday, just to ask how she was, and was very sad to receive an email from Snowy’s daughter, following that email, to say that her Mum had passed away peacefully on Wednesday and that they had had a lovely family funeral service for her in her garden.

Snowy’s last Blip was on 3rd December 2017 and those who followed her will remember how beautiful her garden was and how hard she worked.  She knew the name of every flower and tree in her garden and was a true inspiration, not only to me, but to many other Blip friends.
